         What is AILET entrance exam?🔥

All india law entrance test (AILET) is conducted by National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi) every year to offer admission to eligible candidates in undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctorate level law courses.

We are talking about undergraduate and postgraduate courses-

Eligibility criteria:-

Undergraduate-

Candidate have passed 12th class or equivalent examination minimum 45% and 40% in case of SC/ST/PwD students

Postgraudate-

Candidate have passed LLB or equivalent degree programme with minimum 50% marks and 45% in case of SC/ST/PwD students

Exam pattern-

Duration of exam: 90 minutes

Total questions: 150 que. (MCQ based)

Total marks: 150 marks

Negative marking: 0.25mark each wrong que.

Undergraduate-

Subject areas and marks distribution-

• English                     35 Marks

• General Knowledge (Current Affairs, General Science,

History, Geography, Economics, Civics)        35 Marks

• Legal Aptitude                                              35 Marks

• Reasoning                                                      35 Marks

• Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability)  10 Marks

  

Postgraduate- (Syllabus mcq based)

Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Law of Contract, Jurisprudence, Law of Tort and International Law, etc.

No. of Seats:-

Undergraduate course-  123 (appro.)

Postgraduate course-      81 (appro.)

Application fee-

Unreserved/OBC/EWS/Foreign Nationals/Kashmiri Migrants/

 Residents of Jammu & Kashmir-                Rs.3,050/-

 SC/ST and Persons with Disability (PwD)-   Rs.1,050/-

 Fee Exempted- Below Poverty Line (BPL) candidates of SC/ST Category only
