What is CAT entrance exam?💥

• Common Admission Test (CAT) is one of the prestigious exam to go for MBA/PGP courses.
• CAT is best exam to admission in all IIM (Indian Institute of Management). It is the dream of all the students to go to IIM.
• There are currently 20 IIMs and 1200+ Business school (Other top Institude) accept the CAT score card.

In other hand there are so many top college equivalent to IIM, which include institutes like S.P Jain Institute of Management and Research(SPJIMR), Faculty of Management Studies(FMS), Management Development Institute(Gurgaon), Institute of Management Technology(IMT), Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), International Management Institute (IMI), National Institute of Industrial Engineering(NITIE) and several others.

Eligibility criteria:-

• The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA and 45% in case of candidates belonging to the SC, ST and PWD category.
• Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree can also apply

Exam pattern:-

No. of Questions: 76 Ques.

Total marks: 228

Duration of exam: 2 Hours

Question Types: MCQs and Non MCQ

Marking scheme:

  Correct- +3 for each Que

  Incorrect- -1 for each Que

No negative marking for wrong non-MCQ response

Selection process:-

Please note that IIMs shortlist candidates for the interview stage based on their own criteria, which may be independent of each other.

IIMs may additionally use other factors such as the previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience, gender and academic diversity and other similar inputs in shortlisting and ranking of candidates at various stages of the admission process.

• Then total composite percentage (Final merit)
